The Man Cave

Our first big project was the man cave.  After deciding to ditch the garage under the house to make way for more rooms, we knew we would need a shed to keep all of Alan's stuff in.  It has the added bonus that he can tinker on his cars (or we can hide Sandy) and I hardly ever have to go in there so it can be as messy as he likes!

Clearing the Way

Our backyard has an interesting quirk.  Is it an old chicken coop?  A place for naughty kids?  Apparently, it was an open air dog kennel.  There is evidence of electric fences so it must've been one hell of a dog!  Either way, it's not an element we wish to keep so it had to go.

There are a few trees around the property too but nothing particularly robust or nice, and seeing as we hope to have a pool one day, we aren't keen on the leaves dropping in.  Alan was more than keen to get out his chainsaw and have some fun.

We look forward to landscaping once the renos are done.

In The Beginning

There was a house.  Our house.  And we're changing it!!  This is our 'forever' house.  Well, maybe our 20 year house.  That's the plan at the moment.  Subject to change without notice.

So with two babies in tow, we figured this would be a great time to renovate and get it ready for the next 20 years (whose idea was that??).
